SAPSASA (South Australian Primary Schools Amateur Sports Association)
SAPSASAis made up of 40 districts (from over 600 schools), with 22 in country and outer-metropolitan and 18 in the metropolitan area. A district convenor conducts local events in each district. Prescott College Southern is in the Onkaparinga North district. SAPSASA annual feature events include state carnivals in cricket, Australian rules football, football (soccer), hockey, netball, softball and tennis, and state championships for athletics, basketball, cross country, golf, and swimming. In 2017 Prescott College Southern had teams in both the swimming and cross country carnivals. Five students participated in the district swimming carnival and achieved excellent results. Maguire Reid (Year 7) was selected to represent Onkaparinga North in the State Championship. 38 students participated in the Onkaparinga district cross country day! The 11-year-old girls received the 1st place team award. The following students were chosen to represent Onkaparinga North at Oakbank at the State Championships: Zalii Reid Miles Williams Maguire Reid Patrick Howard Throughout the year students are also presented with opportunities to trial to represent Onkaparinga in team carnivals. A number of Prescott College Southern students have been selected for netball, football, tennis, and cricket teams.
